Camerawork:
In terms of camerawork, the shot type used here is a very wide shot, looking down upon the scene. This allows us to see everything in the scene, rather than smaller details. here we can see the cars, people, hills in the back and engravings on the ground. However we cannot see the peoples expressions or what they may be holding. This allows us to deduct that a discovery has been made and is being investigated. We can see we are in a deserted area, making it more secretive as nobody would really show up.
Soundtrack
In the background of this scene, we can hear a woman talking in a static-like voice, as if communicating over a radio, threading on information as to what they are possibly studying. This shows that the movie may involve scientific experimenting/police, army etc. In addition we can also hear dramatic whooshing effects, signifying that something is about to happen, for example a huge discovery (usually extremely important to the plot line) is about to occur.
Mise-en-scene
In this scene, we can see people wearing suits/lab coats, several cars, a metal detector and engravings on the floor. These show a more confidential, experimental environment. By there being more than 1 car and 1 person, we can tell it is a larger experiment, possibly dealing with something undiscovered or a larger discovery (Like if it were discovering dinosaur bones). The engravings on the floor could signify something such as Paranormal/Extra Terrestrial activity, like Crop Circles.
Editing
In the scene, fading in + out to black is used the majority of the time, jumping to different time zones instead of focusing on just one section of the film. This fills us in more detail on what happens throughout the entire film instead of just one scene. It also feels more dramatic, as it builds up tension before giving you the next scene instead of it seeming blocky, boring and poorly edited by just skipping from scene to scene

Excellent analysis and use of terminology. Well done!
