L/O: To identify the features on a magazine front cover; to explore genre codes and conventions.

I think the Main image is the most important, as it is the largest and most likely to be seen first, hooking the audience in. It can also contain someone/something famous, so if a person is interested in the person/object, it will convince them to read the magazine.




I think this magazine is a fashion magazine as the main image includes a man sat in a fancy position wearing a suit. In addition, the writing is in pink and black, which are two colours I relate to fashion. In addition, some of the cover lines talk about 'good looks' once again hinting at the fashion sense.

1) There are 3 different font styles used on my cover.
2) One of the cover lines is in block caps with a bolder font.
3) They use a mixture of block caps and sentence case.
4) My cover lines are more angular.
5) They are placed around the empty spaces of the main image.

Media Language Analysis

 Tuesday 22nd September 2020 l.o: to analyse a media text using Media Language.    Camerawork The camera shot is a medium-long shot and this is given to show us more about the character. In this shot we can see that he has a gun, connoting that this is a spy movie. We can also see that he has a more determined/mad expression, which we wouldn't be able to see or take note of if it was a long shot. In addition, there are shadows, which shows that there are more things hidden in the background other than 007. Mise-en-scene The fact that 007 is wearing all black could signify that he is going to be sneaking around undercover, looking more commando then professional. Also, he has a gun and holster, showing that he knows what he is doing and is ready for what he is doing. By showing the watch on his left wrist means that it could be something important, such as a spy gadget, because if it wasn't important, it wouldn't be shown (or it could advertise a brand such as a rolex). Thursday 21st January 2021 L/O: To apply narrative theory to our own ideas. 1) Sex in the city 2) Silence of the lambs 3) Harry Potter 4) The Blair Witch Project OR  Slenderman. 5) Polar express 6) Planet of the apes 7) Aladdin 8) Night at the museum Spider-Man movie, Normal day of saving the world for Peter Parker. Dr Octopus and Kingpin work together to cause a space time continuum rip, causing people to vanish. The only people left existing are Spider-Man, and a varied range of villains.  Peter has to track these villains down and fight them in order to collect components and to assemble the machine allowing people to be returned.
