6) All contain creatures that attack main characters. Having to escape the creatures and stay alive.


The explosion on the Independence Day poster shows destruction and the UFO causing this signifies that the Extra terrestrial creatures are dangerous and will cause harm to people. The bright laser shining down on the building shows that it was not an accident and was purposely done to destroy things. The red sky shows as a warning for the attack and the black buildings can represent death. The blue represents the intelligence of the creatures (aliens) attacking society.

The blue in the Godzilla poster shows the wisdom and confidence portrayed by Godzilla and Ghidorah fighting. The destruction and rubble viewed on the floor can show the remains after a large war, or represent the characters being 'broken' inside. The yellow on the Ghidorah's face can represent how the creature is a hazard to everyone and everything and the insanity that drove the creature to this position.

For both of these posters the text is found at the bottom of the screen, as the images are meant to catch your eyes and bring your attention to the movie.

Media Language Analysis

 Tuesday 22nd September 2020 l.o: to analyse a media text using Media Language.    Camerawork The camera shot is a medium-long shot and this is given to show us more about the character. In this shot we can see that he has a gun, connoting that this is a spy movie. We can also see that he has a more determined/mad expression, which we wouldn't be able to see or take note of if it was a long shot. In addition, there are shadows, which shows that there are more things hidden in the background other than 007. Mise-en-scene The fact that 007 is wearing all black could signify that he is going to be sneaking around undercover, looking more commando then professional. Also, he has a gun and holster, showing that he knows what he is doing and is ready for what he is doing. By showing the watch on his left wrist means that it could be something important, such as a spy gadget, because if it wasn't important, it wouldn't be shown (or it could advertise a brand such as a rolex). Thursday 21st January 2021 L/O: To apply narrative theory to our own ideas. 1) Sex in the city 2) Silence of the lambs 3) Harry Potter 4) The Blair Witch Project OR  Slenderman. 5) Polar express 6) Planet of the apes 7) Aladdin 8) Night at the museum Spider-Man movie, Normal day of saving the world for Peter Parker. Dr Octopus and Kingpin work together to cause a space time continuum rip, causing people to vanish. The only people left existing are Spider-Man, and a varied range of villains.  Peter has to track these villains down and fight them in order to collect components and to assemble the machine allowing people to be returned.
