Title: World Down Under
Creatures rising from underground; inky, tar like creatures;
Main characters, A male (Cory) and a female (Pauline), no family.
When mining, the government discover a jet black stone, with a dark aura surrounding it, they take it back to experiment on as it is unlike anything they have ever seen. After a few weeks of testing, the government have discovered nothing on this unknown item, until it cracks, and a dark, seeping ooze crawls out of it. A scientist tries to pick it up to experiment on it, but it moves and attacks him, smothering his face and choking the scientist. The item seeps into the floor and vanishes.
Main characters are at home listening to the radio, they are roommates who are spending the day together. An interruption, government are warning people about this "thing". Outside, dark slender figures, seeming to be dripping and made of a black, thick, oil-like liquid, are rising from the floor; crawling out of the shadows and out of dark, abyss-like holes they create in the ground. The army get involved and are shooting the creatures, which seem to leak a blue-green blood.

Equilibrium:
Set in Birmingham, UK
When mining, the government discover a jet black stone, with a dark aura surrounding it, they take it back to experiment on as it is unlike anything they have ever seen. After a few weeks of testing, the government have discovered nothing on this unknown item.
Disruption:
it cracks, and a dark, seeping ooze crawls out of it. A scientist tries to pick it up to experiment on it, but it moves and attacks him, smothering his face and choking the scientist. The item seeps into the floor and vanishes.
Recognition of disruption:
Main characters (Cory and Pauline) are at home listening to the radio, they are roommates who are spending the day together. An interruption, government are warning people about this "thing". Outside, dark slender figures, seeming to be dripping and made of a black, thick liquid, are rising from the floor; crawling out of the shadows and out of dark, abyss-like holes they create in the ground. The army get involved and are shooting the creatures, which seem to leak a blue-green blood.
Attempting to solve / escape:
As the army continue to fight, the characters, through the blur of warfare, attempt to run, as explosions leave gaping holes, buildings collapse and creatures drag their bodies across the floor. Cars, trees, flooring and other amounts debris are thrown across the world, crashing and leaving destruction wherever you look. The sound of siren echoes loudly as we reach an abandoned car "graveyard". Cory scavenges the cars for weapons whilst Pauline fashions a lockpick out of some barbed wire and a bobby pin Creatures wander after them whilst Cory shoots them down. Pauline is able to get one of the cars started, Cory puts his foot down and they speed as far away as possible. An announcement calls, telling people to head to "Kingstanding Beacon", which they immediately head to. They reach their destination, and are able to have a full 360 view of the world Suddenly, a Blinding explosion is seen, and Helicopters dash to its origin. Something small and black comes flying their way from this explosion, landing just a short distance away from them; the stone that started it all, still spewing creatures out. Other survivors Give Cory and Pauline explosives, as they are the only people brave enough, and they plant them around the stone and destroy it for good, stopping the beings and saving everyone.
Return of Equilibrium:
Everyone kills all the remaining creatures and Birmingham is saved, everything is slowly eased back to being normal.
Heroes: Cory (Dwayne Johnson) + Pauline (Nicole Parker)
The villains: the creatures
The donor: Other survivors
The helper: The army

World Down Under: Synopsis:
Disaster strikes as the world is plunged into a dark, deadly reality. The governments investigation turns corrupt, causing a mass outbreak of inky beings to overtake the world. With little to no time to prepare, can Cory and Pauline survive this outbreak using nothing but minimal resources and their own courage?
1) "I'm hungry"
2) "I've lost the cat"
Someone frantically running around looking panicked, shouting the pets name.
3) "I'm so tired"
Someone lying down in bed or going to brush their teeth.
5) "I'm really annoyed with her"

Excellent idea! I love this. Great application of both Toderov & Propp. I can't wait to see more.
ReplyDeleteThe only comment I would make is that 'down under' often refers to Australia rather than something under the ground.
